一、初清小麥進入毛麥倉之前的清理過程稱為初清。初清少應通過一道風篩結合的初清篩。初清的任務是清 除小麥中的大雜質(麥秸、麥穗、麻繩、木片等)和部分輕而小的雜質,以避免大雜質堵塞設備的進出口或輸送管道,和避免灰塵到處飛揚。小麥進入毛麥倉前,應設置一道自動秤,以便及時了解小麥的品種、數(shù)量,有計劃地進倉和為小麥搭配提供依據(jù)。

二、毛麥清理從毛麥倉到水分調節(jié)之間的清理過程稱為毛麥清理。毛麥清理的任務是分離小麥中的各種雜質,使達到入磨凈麥含雜標準以下。一般采用篩選、去石、洗麥、打麥、精選和磁選設備。在毛麥清理階段一般采用擦麥機或立式花鐵篩打麥機進行輕打,避免產(chǎn)生過多的碎麥。
